In 2022, Western Slope Blue Star Mothers hosted our first Military-Bound Graduate Picnic and found that our new service members and their families are hungry (pun intended) for community recognition and support. With the help of Western Colorado Community Foundation Trutta Fund for Veterans, we were able to expand the event to a true celebration in 2023, but were limited by our budget to inviting recruits and their families and a few special guests. 

 

As we head into graduation season 2024, we are looking for like-minded businesses to sponsor this event so that it can truly become the community event we envision. Your sponsorship will allow us to open this event to the public, invite veteran and military-focused community organizations, and really roll out the red carpet for these special graduates.
